"Du'Vaughn Maxwell has signed with Hampton University," said Western Nebraska Community College Head Coach Russell Beck. Maxwell played his freshman season at High Point University in the Big South Conference. Maxwell averaged 7 points per game as a freshman before heading to junior college.

Maxwell is ranked No. 7 in the 2012 JucoJunction Top 150. Maxwell averaged 17.4 points and 8.3 rebounds this season for the 26-7 Cougars. Maxwell shot 61 percent (193-319) from the floor.
The Cougars play in Region 9 of the NJCAA.
"Du'Vaughn really went to great a level and has the ability to be a impact player for Hampton University next season," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
