Headed to the Big Apple

"Malik Nichols is headed back to New York and will play the next two seasons at Hofstra" said South Plains College Assistant Coach Hank Plona.
Nichols, a wing player, will have two seasons to play for Hofstra. Nichols had committed to Hofstra out of prep school at Bridgton Academy in Maine.

Nichols is currently averaging 5.4 ppg and 5.3 rebounds this season. The Texans are 20-2 on the season.
"Malik is a very versatile player that can play multiple positions at Hofstra. The new staff at Hofstra did a great job of building a relationship with Malik and his family" said Plona.
