Headed to the coast
"Cortez Mitchell has committed to Charleston Southern University after visiting the campus this past weekend" said Pearl River Community College Assistant Coach Scott Sommer.
Mitchell, an off guard, will have two seasons to play for the Bucs in the Big South Conference.

Mitchell averaged 14.6 ppg, 4.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists last season for the Wildcats. The Wildcats finished the season at 25-4 under longtime head coach Richard Mathis.
Mitchell shot 47% (146-311) from the floor last season. The Wildcats will play next month in the Mitchell-Mullen Dallas Blowout and JucoJunction will be on hand for all the action.
Plenty of college coaches have found the way to Poplarville, MS this past season to see teammate Darrlyn Willis. Willis, a Madison, WI native, has received plenty of college interest according to Sommer.
Willis recently visited Wichita State.
