Headed to the Final Four

Heading down Georgia State Highway 520 East from Waycross to Bruswick is the next destination for the Swamp Foxes of Waycross College. The Swamp Foxes are playing in the Final 4 of the Georgia Region 17 Tourney this Friday at the College of Coastal Georgia.
The Swamp Foxes are coached by Cory Baldwin and are in their first season of eligibility for post season play and are currently 24-7 on the season after defeating Albany Tech last evening.
The Swamp Foxes have one player already signed on for next season at the NCAA Division One level in Josh Mendenhall.
Mendenhall will play for the Catamounts of Western Carolina University in the Southern Conference. Mendenhall is currently averaging 9.7 points and 8 rebounds per game this season and he hails from Berea, S.C.
Waycross College will play Atlanta Metro College and the College of Coastal Georgia will play Georgia Perimeter College. The College of Coastal Georgia is the number one seed in the event. The College of Coastal Georgia will make the transition to the four level next season according to Mariners assistant coach James Frey.
