Headed to the OVC
"Jahyde Gardiner is committed to the University of Tennessee Martin" said East Mississippi Community College Head Billy Begley. Begley returns to the Lions after longtime Mark White moved onto Tallahassee Community College this summer.
Gardiner, a combo forward, averaged 13.7 ppg and 9 rebounds last season for the Lions.

Gardiner is a Philadelphia, PA native. He shot 53% (119-224) from the floor last season. Gardiner played at Potter's House Christian Academy in Jacksonville, FL before enrolling in junior college.
