High major coaches calling Iowa Western

The Iowa Western Reivers have been one of the top junior college programs around for a while now. The Reivers have won 16 of their first 20 games this season, thanks in large part to a heavily recruited sophomore duo.
Calvin Walls scored 30 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in IWCC's last game and has taken over as a team leader after transferring in from Wichita State.

"He's played hard, got pretty good skills," said assistant James Bankhead. "He is a pretty good leader of the team, he can rebound, he can defend, he can score inside and also step outside."
St. Bonaventure, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Tulsa, Southeast Missouri and St. Louis are among the programs most heavily recruiting Walls at this point. But Bankhead thinks some high major coaches will come calling after the season.
"I think he can just because there are not a lot of big guys out there," Bankhead said. "He is a good player, and he's also a good student. He's got a 3.2 or 3.3 grade point average."
Walls' teammate, Avery Patterson is also making recruiters take notice with a 20 points per game average.
"He is getting offers," Bankhead said of Patterson. "He's got Wyoming who has offered him, Murray State, St. John's has called, Auburn has called, USC."
Expect the race to heat up for this duo following the season.
