High Majors Lining Up for Garden Citys Davis

James Davis will likely be the center of an intense recruiting battle next fall.
The 7-0, 265 pound freshman center from Minneapolis, Minn., is a physical presence in the paint with unlimited potential.

A freshman at Garden City C.C. in Kansas, Davis impressed JUCO Junction back at the Jayhawk Shootout in December. When motivated, he has the ability to dominate a game on both ends of the floor.
Davis averages 11.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game for the Broncbusters, who will begin the Region 6 Playoffs tomorrow night against Kansas City C.C. He's shooting 60 percent from the floor and 61 percent from the foul line.
Garden City Head Coach Ryan Swanson said that Minnesota, Oklahoma, Cincinnati, Kansas and Kansas State are among the programs actively courting Davis.
JUCO Junction plans on catching Davis in action this weekend at the Region VI Tournament in Salina, Kan., and we'll keep you abreast on his development and recruitment in the weeks to come.
