Hill J.C. Update

Todd Neighbors' Hill Junior College program in Texas has a pair of players garnering Division I looks this winter.
Sophomore point guard Mikey Mitchell and freshman combo forward Ike Ofoegbu have both attracted interest from four-year schools.

Mitchell, a 5-11 point guard, is being looked at by East Carolina, Louisiana Tech, and Southwest Texas, according to Coach Neighbors.
Mitchell is very quick and can play both on and off the ball. We like him better when he sublimates his scoring skills to run the team. At his size, he is going to have to play the point slot at the Division I level.
Mitchell averages 22 points, eight assists and 3 steals per game this season for the Rebels.
As for Ofoegbu, he is a 6-8, 210 pound freshman qualifier from San Antonio, Tex., who could leave Hill with three years to play on the Division I level.
Thus far, Creighton, Indiana St., TCU, and Louisiana Tech are showing the most interest in Ofoegbu, Neigbors said.
At this Dallas JC Jamboree in late October, JUCO Junction liked Ofoegbu's skill level. He has a penchant for facing the basket, possesses adequate ball skills but needs to get stronger.
Ofoegbu tends to avoid contact and must significantly boost his upper body size and strength. On the plus size, he's long and athletic, so he probably hasn't filled into his frame yet.
Ike averages 13 points and six rebounds per game for the Rebels, and has been coming on strong as the season has progressed.
JUCO Junction will keep you posted on both players as the spring signing period looms on the horizon. Stay tuned!
