Holts List Becomes More Defined

Justin Holt, the talented 6-6, 207 pound small/combination forward from Tacoma C.C. in Tacoma, Wash., has knocked his list down to six colleges this summer.
Holt, who told JUCO Junction that he plans to sit out the 2003-2004 campaign while attending classes at Tacoma, said he has been offered by most of the colleges on his list.

Holt said that Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Texas, Ohio State and Arizona State have offered him scholarships. Kansas is the final school on his list, but Holt said that the Jayhawks have yet to offer.
All of the six finalists on Holt's list are expected to visit him in September. The fall visitation/evaluation period begins on Sept. 9.
Holt said he won't make any official visit plans until each of the colleges visit him in September.
"I am taking my time and being very patient," he explained. "I will set up the official visits after the in-home visits."
Holt added that he plans on making a fall decision. If he can gradate by the end of the summer of 2004, Holt could have three years to play on the D-I level.
We will stay on top of the situation and let you know if anything new develops regarding Holt's recruitment.
