Hosley Bound for Providence

Quinton Hosley will play college basketball in the Big East, but it won't be for St. John's University.
Hosley, a 6-7 combo forward from Lamar C.C. in Colorado, has signed with Providence College, according to sources familiar with his recruitment.

The Friar Athletic Department has yet to officially announce the signing.
Back in December, Hosley committed to St. John's. But with the arrival of a new head coach in Jamaica, Queens and questions regarding Hosley's academic situation, the Red Storm evaporated from the equation.
Hosley took an official visit to Providence last week.
Hosley was an NJCAA First Team All-American selection as a sophomore. The Denver, Colo. native averaged 21.2 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game, shooting 51 percent from the floor and 82 percent from the foul line.
With his college decision out of the way, Hosley must now turn his focus toward graduating. He will need to get some work done this summer if he is to be eligible to suit up for the Friars next winter.
Originally from New York City, early word is that Hosley will enroll at Globe Tech in Manhattan this summer in an effort to complete his degree requirements.
We hope to be able to provide further details on Hosley's situation as they become available. Stay tuned!
