Hurt Still Working Toward Graduation

Not much has changed in regards to Wabash Valley College's Carlos Hurt this spring.
Hurt, the 6-2 combo/shooting guard who was a McDonald's All-American out of high school, is still striving towards graduation.

JUCO Junction spoke with WVC Head Coach Mark Nelson on Thursday night, and he said a clearer picture regarding Hurt's situation should emerge after the end of the spring semester.
"We are finishing up school soon," Nelson said. "A lot more things will be revealed after the semester ends, but he could have an opportunity to finish up this summer."
If Hurt takes care of business in the classroom this spring, he will have a chance to graduate in the summer and enroll at a Division I program in the fall.
As a result, his recruitment has been in a bit of a holding pattern for much of the year at Wabash Valley. Nelson did shed a little light on some of the colleges who have expressed interest in Hurt.
Nelson said that Arizona, Colorado, James Madison, Oklahoma and Ole Miss are some of the schools who have called regarding the former University of Louisville recruit.
Hurt's link to the Arizona program is well known. The Wildcats were one of the serious suitors for Hurt out of high school, and his former summer team coach, Josh Pastner, is now an assistant coach at Arizona.
If something does break regarding Hurt in the coming weeks, JUCO Junction will keep you posted. Stay tuned.
