Imperial Valley prospects seeking attention

Imperial Valley College is leading its conference with a 7-and-2 mark. Overall, IVC is 17-and-7. Head coach Tyson Aye filled us in on three of his talented players.
Deveon Jenkins: 6-foot-5, 200 pounds. Jenkins is averaging 12 points, 7 rebounds and went off for 24 and 10 in Imperial's last game. Jenkins will need summer school to graduate.

"Deveon is a strong slashing wing/forward, who can guard one through five," Aye said.
Jenkins averaged 14 points per game last season at IVC to go with 7.5 rebounds.
Ben Thompson: 6-foot-5, 195 pounds. Thompson averages eight points and five boards. He will need to go the Division II or NAIA route.
"Ben jumps out the gym," Aye commented.
Thompson averaged 11 points and six boards a season ago.
James Hughes: 6-foot-4 ,180 pounds. Hughes is averaging 12 points, five rebounds, three assists and is shooting 40% from three-point range. Hughes also will need summer school to graduate. Hughes does not have any offers.
"James can get his shot off at anytime, he is a very explosive wing," said Aye.
The coach hopes his players will see the action pick up on the recruiting trail this spring.
"All three of these guys could play low major ball somewhere at the least," Aye said. "They are all being under-recruited based on where we are located."
