Imperial Valley prospects will get looks

One school to keep an eye on in the California ranks this winter will be Imperial Valley. IVC boasts four prospects that should be Division One players over the next two seasons.
6-foot-5 Deveon Jenkins will turn some heads due to his athletic ability and his versatility. A first-team all-conference selection as a freshman, Jenkins is traditionally a small forward.

"I think he could play point guard at the next level," said Imperial head coach Tyson Aye. "I expect him to be an all-state player and lead our team in scoring this year."
Last season, Jenkins averaged 14.1 points and 7.5 rebounds for Imperial Valley. Out of high school, he was not recruited, despite scoring 21 points and grabbing eight rebounds a night at Chicago's Mosesvines High.
Jenkins does not yet have any visits set.
Joining Jenkins in the front court this year will be Ben Thompson. Also at 6-foot-5, Thompson is an undersized power forward, but is a strong rebounded and averaged nine points per game as a freshman.
There are also a couple of freshmen who could turn heads on this squad. Chicago State transfer David Johnson played with Jenkins in high school and is enrolled at IVC this year. Britt Kelly is a strong combo guard at 6-foot-4 out of IMG Academy in Florida. He is long and likes to play up-tempo basketball. Kelly took classes over the summer at Missouri State-West Plains and also participated in the JC Challenge in Indianapolis and the Jerry Mullens showcase in Tulsa.
That foursome has expectations on the rise at IVC.
