Ridas Pulkaunninkas, (SO) 6-foot-6, hails from Lithuania. Ridas, a small forward, played last season for the Bearcats. Ridas likes to pop off screens for his shots. Mercer, UC Riverside and Stephen F. Austin have shown interest in Ridas this fall according to assistant coach Rick Dotson. Ridas went for 13.6 ppg, 3.5 rebounds and 2 assists last year.
Brian Wannamaker, (SO) 6-foot-3 from Philadelphia, PA, transferred in from Central Connecticut State University.
Travis Jones, (FR) 6-foot-7 from Georgetown, TX, is an academic qualifier who can leave with three years left to play at the next level. Jones, a left-handed wing player, has good skills from the small forward position.
Joel Gierbolini, (FR) 6-foot-6 (240) from Puerto Rico, is an undersized post player who played really well in the game we saw the Bearcats play at Collin County Community College on Friday afternoon. Gierbolini is wide body in the paint that plays under control and kept it really simple. Joel is not overly athletic but he was quite resourceful down low for the Bearcats.
The Bearcats are looking to improve on last year's dismal season and JucoJunction will follow their progress throughout the year right here.
