In Focus: Snead State CC

Snead State Community College in Boaz, AL played last weekend at Kenn Littlefield's JUCO Jamboree in Macon,GA and JucoJunction was there to see them in action. Snead State Community College is coached by Rodney Hampton. JucoJunction takes a closer look at the team and the three top sophomores on the roster.
JaJuan Jones, (SO) 6-foot-6 (190) from Douglasville, GA, is a very versatile guard. Jones played the point guard position a lot last weekend must he must really tighten up his handle and improve his passing. JaJuan is an unreal athlete that averaged 15.4 ppg, 5.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists last season in just 11 games played. Jones played with the Georgia Stars in AAU while coming out of high school.

Joshua Spears, (SO) 6-foot-4 (195) from Selma, AL, played this past summer at Jerry Mullen's JUCO 120 Camp in Tulsa,OK. Spears is a very good leaper who can can knock down the three pointer. Spears is wide open in the recruiting process.
Jerrell Boswell, (SO) 5-foot-10 (180) from Covington, GA, is an undersized two guard. Jerrell sat out last year at Snead State after transferring in from Wallace State-Hanceville. Boswell averaged 16.4 ppg while as a freshman at Wallace State-Hanceville back in 2006-2007. Jerrell hit 119 three-pointers on 287 attempts for 41.4% from three point range as a freshman. Boswell is a third-year player now at Snead State Community College.
