Indians shooter signs

Players are still making decisions for next season heading into June. JucoJunction.com found out today that one player from the Panhandle Conference is off to play ball in the Lone Star State next season.
"Dexter Ellington has signed with Texas Southern University in the SWAC Conference" said Chipola College Indians Jake Headrick. Ellington 6-foot shooting guard from Cuthbert, GA started his college career at Trinity Valley Community College.

Ellington averaged 16 ppg as a freshman for the Cardinals and made the All-Region team. Ellington is ranked #116 in the JucoJunction Top 150.
Ellington averaged 10.6 ppg, 3.6 rebounds and 3 assists this past season for the 19-9 Indians. Ellington received interest from Tennessee State and Mercer University this spring. Ellington now is the fifth player from Chipola to move onto the division one level for next fall. Stay tuned to JucoJunction all summer long on signings and news from the basketball scene.
