Indians still perfect

USC-Salkehatchie is currently 5-0 on the season after winning two games this weekend in the Salk Challenge on the Walterboro, SC campus. The Indians have a new head coach in 23 years old Corey Hendren.
The Warriors knocked off Moravian Prep Academy (NC) 96-90 and Gulf Coast State College (FL) 76-73.

JucoJunction was in attendance for the Gulf Coast State College on Saturday afternoon.
The Indians were led in scoring by junior college transfer Carlos Rankins with 17 points. Bubby Vanderhorst added 13 points, Nygel Gates 11 points and Nolen Gerald chipped in 10 points.
Rankins played at Casper College (WY) last season and Vanderhorst is a third year player who attended Barton College (NC). Gates, a Lexington, SC native attended Roane State Community College (TN) last season.
Hendren and Gates were high school teammates at Lexington High School.
The Indians are playing with a lot of enthusiasm and togetherness right now. JucoJunction will again for sure see the Indians down the road this season.
