Iowa Western Picks Up Daytona Transfer Dunston

Wade Dunston, a 6-3 swingman who played last winter at Daytona Beach C.C. in Florida, has transferred to Iowa Western C.C. in Council Bluffs, Ia.
JUCO Junction confirmed the transfer with Iowa Western Asst. Coach John Jungers.

According to Coach Jungers, Towson, George Mason and Albany have expressed preliminary interest in Dunston. Dunston is a native of Maryland.
JUCO Junction had a chance to watch Dunston as a senior in high school and last year as a freshman at Daytona Beach.
In high school, Dunston relied on his ability to attack the basket as a power slasher. However, at the JUCO level last season, he couldn't just rely on that strength. He needs to quicken his release on his perimeter shot and become a more consistent outside shooter.
Dunston will play one year at Iowa Western before transferring to a four-year school.
We'll keep you posted on his situation this fall and into the regular season. Stay tuned!
