Iowa Western pipeline still going
Lloyd Phillips, (SO) 5-foot-10, will be a Redbird next season. Phillips, a combo guard, will be heading to Illinois State. Phillips will be the third Iowa Western Reiver to wear the Redbird uniform in recent years. He will join senior to be Emmanuel Holloway and former Redbird Nedu Onyeuku.
Phillips played his freshman season at Allen County Community College in Kansas. Lloyd had committed to the University of Montana but decided to back to junior college and transferred over to Iowa Western this season.

Phillips, a Washington D.C., native averaged 18.2 ppg, 4 assists and 3.1 rebounds this past season while shooting a blistering 43% (105-243) from three-point range for the Reivers. Lloyd averaged 17.2 ppg a game as a freshman at Allen County. Phillips, an all-conference
performer for the (28-5) Reivers, received interest from Louisiana-Monroe-visited, Middle Tennessee State and Western Kentucky.
