Iowa Western quintet in the midst of visits

The sophomores at Iowa Western Community College had to wait a little longer than most to turn their attention to recruiting. The Reivers finished sixth in the NJCAA tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas.
"It was the first time we got in and that was good to see," said IWCC head coach Jim Morris. "Finally, we had a chance to get out of this region and it was very enjoyable."

However, with the season in the rearview mirror, the sophomores are now planning visits. Five of them should have a chance to play at the next level and Morris ran down the docket for us.
"Quentin Gonzales is still trying to graduate. That will be his main dilemma. He has a chance, but not a great chance," Morris said. "He visited McNeese State over the weekend and still has a couple of schools interested in him, Idaho State and Utah State. He has narrowed it to five Division II schools as well."
"Kyle Prochaska visited Northern Iowa over the weekend and will visit Southern Miss this weekend. He has not selected any other visits, but he has quite a few other schools interested."
Northern Iowa opted not to offer Prochaska a scholarship, but Southern Miss has already done so.
"Jazz Ross is visiting Cal-Santa Barbara and he visited Southeastern Louisiana," added Morris.
"Larry Sheppard just got back from Texas-Pan American and he's going to visit Northern Colorado."
"Matt O'Connor was visiting Wofford this weekend and he'll visit Fairleigh-Dickinson April 21st through the 23rd. Then he's got a couple others that still want him to visit after that."
It will be a busy few weeks around Iowa Western with the late signing period opening on Wednesday.
