Is Mike White ready to narrow it down

Lee College forward Mike White entered the summer as the number ten prospect in his class. With his play at multiple summer camps, Lee did nothing to hurt that standing.
Most recently, White turned some heads at Jerry Mullens' camp in Tulsa. There were a number of schools that followed Lee from Tulsa down to the Lee campus to watch him play.

"Our kids play every Sunday night," said Lee coach Roy Champagne. "We always have several coaches there and we had several in this past Sunday."
Among the schools JucoJunction was told were there were Houston, Purdue, McNeese State and Florida State. However, Champagne says there is no truth to the rumor that White has narrowed his choices to those schools.
"That's not the case," Champagne said. "I think the question was posed to him who was recruiting him and those were the schools he mentioned."
South Florida has also been linked to White's recruitment.
As far as a timetable, White's is still up in the air.
"We instruct our kids to do what they feel is best for them," Champagne said when asked about his players signing early. "We told Mike his job was to create as many opportunities for himself as he could this summer with what he did on and off the court and I think he did a pretty good job of that."
JucoJunction will continue to follow junior college recruiting across the land. To talk about this story with other juco hoops fans, check out the JucoJunction Board or our premium forum.
