Jaguars staying ground

The Danville Area Community College Jaguars are off to a 9-1 start and a 4th place ranking in the latest NJCAA Division 2 Poll. The Jaguars are getting some quality leadership out of Chris Whitehead, Derek Shouse and freshman post player Ronnie White.

The point guard played his freshman season at Weatherford College in Texas. The New Albany, Ind., native is currently averaging 10.7 points, 5.5 assists and 4.1 rebounds this season. "Chris is built like a fire hydrant and can really push the ball 94 feet," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
Whitehead is ranked No. 134 in the 2013 JucoJunction Top 150.
Shouse has picked up from what he started last season. The shooting guard is currently averaging 14.6 points and 3.6 rebounds this season and hitting on 41 percent (25-61) from three-point range for the Jaguars.
Shouse is a Terre Haute, Ind. native.
White is a very promising freshman on the Jaguars roster. The Fort Wayne, Ind., native really caught the eye of JucoJunction this fall with his ability to alter shots and run the floor.
The 21-year-old freshman is currently averaging 9.7 points, 8 rebounds and 2.7 blocks this season.
