Jimario Rivers commits to Tigers

Head Coach Josh Pastner picked up his first commitment of the 2016 class Wednesday afternoon. Small forward Jimario Rivers of Southwest Tennessee Community College in Memphis picked the Tigers his JUCO Head Coach Jerry Nichols announced.
Rivers is a 6-foot-8, 195 pound small forward. He is noted for his athletic ability, length, and explosion. Rivers' offensive strengths are getting to the bucket and finishing as well as being able to score from the midrange. He is also a heralded rebounder.

Rivers averaged 10.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game during his freshman season, despite only playing 22 minutes per game.
Rivers also had offers from Marquette, Florida, Ole Miss, Iowa State, Missouri, Auburn, and Arkansas.
Rivers is originally from Clarksville, Tennessee and attended Kenwood High School.
