Johns staying in Bakersfield

The California junior college player of the year won't move far to play his college ball. Terrence Johns has signed a letter of intent to play for Cal-State Bakersfield.
Johns chose CS-Bakersfield over the likes of Miami, TCU, Montana, Montana State and Albany.

"The community support he received while at Bakersfield College was the major factor in choosing CSU-Bakersfield," said coach Rich Hughes.
Johns scored 22.7 points per game and shot nearly 42% from three-point range this season.
