JUCO: 2 players commit over the weekend

Over the weekend Devocio Butler and Jordon Harris made official visits to programs that would become there next stop in their basketball careers. Butler is headed to the Mountain West Conference and Harris will take his game to the Sun Belt.
Texas Hoops Analysis: Colorado State is getting a versatile guard that quietly goes about his business on the floor. Devocio Butler plays in a fast offense at Hill but plays with a lot of patience and stays under control. He is an energetic guard, and attacks from the wing. He heads to the basket and takes contact when finishing. Butler is strong at 6-foot-5 and scores coming off the dribble, hitting the 12-15 footer and hits a high percentage of threes when he gets his feet set. He moves well laterally in defense and pressures the ball.

2014-2015 season, Butler averaged 10.8 ppg, 3.9 rebounds and hit 37.5% of his three-pointers.
Texas Hoops Analysis: Louisiana-Monroe gets a jet in 5-foot-10 Lamar State -Port Arthur's Jordon Harris. Native of San Antonio and a graduate of Sam Houston, Harris will bring a scoring punch to the Warhawks offense. Harris can get up the court in a hurry and change gears pulling up in transition to hit the three or the mid-range jumper. Harris may look tiny out there on the court, but he is strong and is fearless as he enters the paint to score around more physical opponents. He has a quick first step to the rim and scores with nice body control as he absorbs contact. Harris can score in bunches and defensively is fast and causes turnovers.
2014-2015 season, Harris averaged 12.6 ppg, 3.7 assists, 2.2 steals and 2.4 rebounds.
