Kankakee duo ready to move on

Najul Ervin, (FR) 6-foot-7 (185) from Memphis, TN and Michael Harrington, (SO) 6-foot-7 (225) from Country Club Hills, IL have signed on with Division One programs for next season. Kankakee head coach Joseph Lightfoot talked to JucoJunction today about where these Cavaliers are moving onto this fall.
Ervin was an academic qualifier coming out of high school in Memphis, TN last year.

"Najul has signed with Northern Illinois University," Lightfoot said. "He will play the small forward at the next level. Najul runs like he is 6'3 and can really handle the ball well. He brought the ball up a lot for us this season."
Ervin only took one visit and Northern Illinois University will have his services for the three next years. Najul averaged 4.8 ppg and 5.8 rebounds this year.
Harrington played at Cal St. Fullerton a few years back for one semester and sat out last year at the University of Southern Indiana.
"Mike is an old throwback power forward. He reminds me of Rick Mahorn," said Lightfoot. "Mike is very powerful and explosive and has great hands."
Harrington averaged 10.8 ppg and 6.8 rebounds this season. He received interest from Detroit-Mercy and Tennessee State and decided to head to the Motor City next season and play at Detroit-Mercy.
