Kankakee sophomores playing well

Kankakee Community College in Kankakee, IL has been playing very solid all season long with new head coach Joseph Lightfoot at the helm. The Cavaliers are currently 19-7 on the season. Coach Lightfoot had a chance to touch base with JucoJunction on his
sophomores. Lightfoot is a longtime assistant and a former player at KCC.

Michael Harrington: (SO) 6-foot-7 (225) from Country Club Hills, IL. Harrington transferred in from D2 powerhouse Southern Indiana where he played in 23 games last year.
"Michael is a man playing with boys," said Lightfoot.
Harrington has great hands and likes to play physical in the paint. The power forward is
getting looks from Mercer, Georgia State, Miami (OH),Lynn University (FL). He is averaging 10.6 ppg and 6.7 rebounds this season.
Menji Mundadi (SO) 6-foot-2 (175) from Highland Park, IL. Menji is off to a great season by averaging 17.4 ppg, 4.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists for the Cavs. The two guard can really stroke the three ball.
"Menji is the best three point shooter in Region 4. He has great great range and physical strength," said Lightfoot.
Loyola (IL),South Dakota State, Chicago State, Robert Morris, Miami (OH) and Iowa State are following Mundadi this spring.
Dominique John: (SO) 6-foot-3 (170) from Indianapolis, IN. John is a 2/3 man that transferred in this season from Olney Central College (IL).
"Dominique has a great basketball IQ along with great passing skills," said Lightfoot.
Dominique is getting 8.4 ppg.
Tim Smith: (SO) 6-foot-0 (150) from Indianapolis, IN. Smith played last season at The University of Indianapolis (D2) and averaged 4.8 ppg and 2.5 assists.
"The lefty point guard is very quick," said Lightfoot.
Smith is averaging 5 ppg this season for the Cavs.
Seven Ezumba: (SO) 6-foot-7 (220) from Nigeria. Ezumba played last season at Newberry College in South Carolina where he saw action in 10 games for the Indians.
"Seven has good perimeter skills and is a great athlete," said Lightfoot.
Ezumba is averaging 7.2 pgg on the season for KCC. Chicago State, Mercer and South Dakota State are keeping tabs on the combo forward this spring.
