Keeping an eye on Wabash Valley
The Wabash Valley College Warriors have been up and down this season. Currently Wabash Valley is at 10-7 on the season. JucoJunction had a chance to speak with assistant coach Jon Craig on the Warriors sophomores.
Desmond Hendrix: (SO) 6-foot-10 (250) from Chicago, IL.

Hendrix played his high school ball at Chicago Julian. Desmond had verballed to LSU but the Tigers decided to go in a different direction.
"Desmond is a big-bodied forward with a nice touch and has the ability to be a
nice player," said Craig.
Wyoming, Valparaiso, UNLV and New Orleans are showing interest in the power forward. Desmond is at four points and 4.3 rebounds this season
Marcus Van: (SO) 6-foot-7 (220) from Chicago, IL.
Van had verbally committed to Eastern Illinois but right before the signing period he decided to open up his recruitment again. Van is an athletic small forward with range out to 14 feet.
"Marcus is a physical post player with a knack for rebounding the basketball," Craig said.
Wyoming, New Orleans, Valparaiso and Eastern Illinois are calling on Van. Marcus is averaging 9.4 points and 6.5 rebounds this season.
Ricky Garrett: (SO) 6-foot-4 (185) from Rome, GA.
"Ricky is a athletic wing with an ability to play above the rim," Craig commented.
UC-Santa Barbara, Jacksonville State, Gardner-Webb, Georgia State and UNC-Charlotte are keeping tabs on the 2nd year player. Ricky is averaging 11 points and 3.3 rebounds this season.
Norman Anderson: (SO) 5-foot-8 (170) from Anderson, IN. Anderson is a quick point guard who likes to penetrate to create.
"Norman can change the pace of the game with his play," said Craig.
Southern Indiana (D2) has shown some interest in the point guard who's getting
4.2 points and four assists this season.
Dexter Powell: (SO) 6-foot-4 (210) from Rome, GA.
Dexter is a long and active combo forward. UC-Santa Barbara, Gardner-Webb and IP-Fort Wayne have monitored Powell this season. Dexter is at 6.6 points per game.
