Kellogg has players to watch

Kellogg Community College is currently 17-5 on the season. The Bruins find themselves in a dog fight this season in the Michigan Division II schools with Mott CC, Grand Rapids CC and Schoolcraft College. Head coach Clint Stout took some time to talk to JucoJunction about his sophomores.
Joe Young: (SO) 6-foot-2 (201) from Battle Creek, MI. Young is a D1 transfer from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. Young played in 29 games and started 10 of them last season. He averaged 3.8 ppg for the Golden Griffs.

"The lefthanded Young is a big-time shooter. Joe can really elevate off the floor and make shots," said Stout.
Young is currently scoring 23.8 ppg (4th in the nation), 4.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists. The wing guard is receiving interest from Youngstown State, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Gardner-Webb and Montana.
Josh Young: (SO) 6-foot-2 (170) from Ypsilanti, MI. Josh is no relation to Joe and also plays a wing position for KCC. Josh transferred in this season from Treasure Valley CC in Ontario,OR.
"Josh doesn't have the best looking shot, but he makes the clutch shots. He usually defends the other team's point guard," said Stout.
Josh is currently at 19 ppg and 6.4 rebounds this season. Saginaw Valley State and Central Missouri State are watching Josh this spring.
Jerome Douglas: (SO) 6-foot-2 (171) from Detroit, MI. Douglas just became eligible at the semester. The point guard has played in 10 games and led KCC to a 9-1 record.
"Jerome is very long and is strong enough to get the ball to the hole," said Stout.
Douglas will have to entertain D2/NAIA schools for next season.
Toriano Adams: (SO) 6-foot-4 (233) from Detroit, MI. Adams is an undersized power forward that's getting 16.2 ppg and 15.9 rebounds a night. Toriano is shooting 57% (152-264) from the floor.
"Toriano has a great motor that brings a really consistent work effort every night," said Stout.
Virginia State, Gannon (PA) and Ashland (OH) have shown interest in Adams.
