Kennedy races across state border

The Murray State Racers looked just across the Kentucky state line into Missouri to get their most recent signee. Mineral Area College forward Rob Kennedy inked with the Racers in the late signing period.
Kennedy shot nearly 60% from the field before missing the final eight games of his freshman season at Mineral Area due to a torn meniscus.

"He's a great finisher," said head coach Corey Tate. "He can score inside or outside."
The best part of Kennedy's commitment for the Racers is that he has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
"Rob is a very important recruit for our program," said MSU head coach Mick Cronin. "The fact that Rob had three years of eligibility remaining makes him even more important to our future."
Mineral Area was 16-and-7 with kennedy in the lineup, but just 5-and-3 without him.
