Knights take the floor

JucoJunction saw some quality basketball this past weekend in the Kenn Littlefield Southern JUCO Jamboree in Jonesboro, G.A. The Knights of Aiken Tech College play in Region 10 in the Carolinas. JucoJunction takes a closer look at the Knights in this article right here on your source for junior college basketball recruiting.
Anthony Rapley returns to the Knights after being named to the 1st team All-Region last season. The Atlanta, G.A. native started his college career at Temple University as a wide receiver on the football team after playing in prep school at Fork Union Military Academy.

"Anthony has really tried to develop his ballhandling skills and expand his game to more of a perimeter base," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson. Rapley averaged 15.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game last year while shooting 56 percent (174-309) from the floor last season.
Ronald Sims joins the Knights roster after transferring in from Western Oklahoma State College. The North Augusta, S.C. native averaged 7 points per game last year for the Pioneers. "Ronald is a versatile player who can handle the ball and really attack the rim with his wiry frame," said Swanson.
Sims always seems to be in the right place at the right time on the floor.
Jerel Stephenson is a third year player after siting out last season. Stephenson played his freshman season at UNC-Wilmington and averaged 9.1 points under then head coach Benny Moss. "Jerel can play the 1-4 positions on the floor with his basketball skills," said Swanson.
Stephenson told JucoJunction he has received interest from Troy University, Jacksonville,Jacksonville State and Savannah State University this fall.
JucoJunction will see the Knights again this season since we are located here in the Palmetto State. Stay tuned to more action from the junior college basketball scene all season long right here on your source for junior college recruiting.
