Koffi Takes Oath for Fresno State; Cowley Update

Koffi picked Fresno State after taking visits this spring to New Mexico State and Fresno.
"I think he liked what Coach Lopes had to say when he visited him last month," Jackson said. "Coach Lopes does a lot of the same things that we preach here, and I am sure that when Francis saw the new arena and how beautiful it is in California, it was a no brainer for him."
Koffi averaged 13 points per game for the Tigers in 2002-2003, helping Cowley reach the Region VI Tournament final last month.
A fine shooting big man, Koffi has range out to 17 feet. The well built left hander is a native of France.
He will have two years to play at Fresno beginning next fall.
In other Cowley County news, a new college has expressed interest in 5-9 sharp-shooter Raymond Anthony. Jackson said that Miami of Ohio is coming in on Monday (Apr. 28) to look at the Illinois native.
After his official visit to Austin Peay this weekend, 6-6 sophomore power forward Amani Daanish is expected to decide between the Governors and Indiana State, Jackson said.
JUCO Junction will keep you posted on both Anthony and Daanish until they reach decisions this spring, so stay tuned.
