LA Southwest duo stays together

The California Community College System always produces players. This season the Eastern Washington University Eagles dipped into the California Community Colleges to fill some needs for next year. EWU recently signed two players from the same school for next season and you can read all about it here on JucoJunction in this article.
Tremayne Johnson and Laron Griffin both attended classes this past season at Los Angeles Southwest College but decided not to play.

"We are very excited to add Tremayne and Laron to our program for next season and they both will have three years to play for us," said Eastern Washington Head coach Kirk Earlywine.
Johnson has committed already twice this season to the University of San Francisco and to Arizona back in January, but didn't sign with either school.
Johnson averaged 5 ppg and 3.9 rebounds as freshman at Los Angeles Southwest College back in 2007-2008. Griffin averaged 4.1 ppg in the same season. Johnson and Griffin now join Alden Gibbs who signed last month from the community college ranks in the State of California to join the Eagles for next fall.
