Lakers to make first step

The Lake Land College Lakers in Mattoon, I.L. have put together a very solid team under head coach Cedric Brown.

Elhadji Ndieguene didn't play for the Lakers this past weekend. The 6-foot-10-inch Ndieguene played last season at Salt Lake Community College.
James Anacreon is a very athletic combo forward who has a great knack for being around the ball. "James can play some 3/4 on a given night and he is tremendous rebounder," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson. Anacreon is a transfer from Broward College. He hails from Hollis, N.Y.
Jamal Williams is a promising freshman for the Lakers after playing at Stevens Prep in Raleigh, N.C. last season via Brookyln, N.Y. Williams will run the point guard position for the Lakers this season.
Jomari Bradshaw another freshman on the Lakers roster who is a bigtime shooter from the two guard position. "Jomari is a very confident shooter who can really stroke the three ball," said Swanson.
The Lakers have a good group of players to make a strong run this season in Region 24 and the GRAC Conference. Stay tuned to JucoJunction all season long to see how the Lakers do.
