Lamar lands Mississippi juco star
Itawamba Community College in Fulton, MS is no stranger to sending players the Division One route. Indians head coach Marty Cooper touched base with JucoJunction this morning on one of his players signing today a National Letter of Intent for next fall.
"Vincenzo Nelson will play at Lamar University in Beaumont, TX next season," said Cooper.

Nelson recently visited Southeast Missouri State and decided to play in the Southland Conference next fall. Nelson was a first-team all-region 23 player and MVP of the Mississippi Junior College All-Star game recently.
"Nelson is an athletic combo forward that can get to the basket and finish. He has a great motor," said Cooper.
Nelson averaged 11.9 ppg and 6.8 rebounds this season for the Indians while shooting 58% (128-221) from the floor.
