"P.J is an explosive athlete that can score in bunches. He needs to improve his strength and be more consistent with his three-point shot, but his athleticism, length, and ability to score make him a game changer. P.J. excels in the open floor and finishes at the rim," said Tifft.
Since the holiday break P.J. is averaging 23.8 ppg and 5.2 rebounds while shooting over 35% from three point range.
Reyes is currently averaging 20.6 ppg this season and he has scored 907 career points while at Lamar Community College. P.J. scored 37 points versus Independence CC and 34 points versus Trinidad State earlier this season. Reyes is leading the Region in scoring and is also bringing down 4.5 rebounds a night for the Runnin Lopes.
Eastern Washington, Weber State, High Point and Northern Arizona are showing interest in Reyes this spring. JucoJunction will take a look at the other sophomores at Lamar Community College in the near future.
