Lawal will play in the MEAC Conference at Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD this fall. Lawal, a JucoJunction Top 150 player from this past season, averaged 16.1 ppg and 5.4 rebounds this season for the Kats.
Lawal prepped at Laurinburg Institute (NC) while coming out of high school in New York City. Tola scored 982 career points in two seasons for the Kats. Lawal averaged 19.7 ppg as a freshman for Erie Community College.
