"John Brown is the leader and captain of this team" said Olney Central College Head Coach Mike Burris. Brown, a wing player from Charlotte, NC is in his second season with the Blue Knights.
Brown is currently averaging 17.6 ppg and 5 rebounds this year for the 10-5 Blue Knights. The Blue Knights have 10 freshmen on the roster this season.

Brown is starting to pick up interest this spring in the recruiting game.
"John is really starting to expand his game and he's a player you really need to watch to appreciate what he does on the floor" said Burris.
Brown played this past summer at the Peach State JUCO Showcase in Augusta,GA.
Brown was runner up for Freshman Player of the Year last season in the GRAC Conference
(Southern Illinois).
Freshman Trey Mitchell and Jaquan Grissett are both seeing good minutes for the Blue Knights this season. Mitchell, a sharp shooter from Charlotte, NC played high school ball with
Brown at Olympic High School.
Mitchell is averaging 12.6 ppg while shooting 46% (29-63) from three point range.
Grissett, a point guard from North Myrtle Beach, SC is averaging 11.5 ppg, 4.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists this year.
The future looks bright for the Blue Knights if all the pieces can stay together.
