The power forward from Fort Pierce, Fla. will play two seasons at Chipola College before suiting up for the Shockers in the Missouri Valley Conference. Watson played last season at Queen City Prep Academy in Charlotte, N.C.
"Earl is a very physical player inside the paint who has the ability to dominate the game on both ends of the floor and he has great hands he catches everything thrown to him," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
Wichita State University has a lot of ties to the staff at Chipola College in former head coaches Chris Jans and Greg Heiar. Dana Ford, an assistant coach with the Shockers, worked for Heiar as an assistant at Chipola College before moving onto the NCAA division one level.
