Lions duo leads team

The Lions of East Mississippi Community College in little Scooba, M.S. are off to a (6-1) start this season under 4th year head coach Mark White. The Lions prepare for a big game tonight versus Jones County Junior College.

Deonte Alexander is a combo guard who had a great freshman season for the Lions. He led the club to the NJCAA National Tourney in Hutchinson, K.S.
The Nashville native is currently averaging 16 points and 2.4 steals per game this season for the Lions. Alexander is a member of the JucoJunction Top 150 this season.
Jonathan King is a native of Panama in Central America. King is an undersized post player and is a manchild in the paint and plays with a great motor on both ends of the floor.
King is currently averaging 10.6 points and 9.2 rebounds per game this season. King averaged 8.9 points and 7 rebounds per game as a freshman. his brother Daniel who played at Western Oklahoma State College is currently a junior at Texas Southern University.
The Lions will look to try to return to Hutch this March but it won't be any easy task coming out of the Mississippi Region this season. The Lions finished the season last year at (27-7).
