Vaitiekus (pronounced Vi-Tu-Kus) is in his first year at Marshalltown Community College in Iowa and leads the team with eight blocks and is averaging around four points and four rebounds per contest. As a freshman at South Plains College in Texas, Vaitiekus averaged three points and 3.1 rebounds per game. He is originally from Telsiai, Lithuania.
"Arvydas (pronounced R-V-Dus) has great size and size is a talent at any level of basketball," Morrill said. "He runs extremely well and has potential to develop into a solid post player. I am confident that he will put in the hard work necessary for continued development."
"Without a doubt, Arvydas' strength is his defense," said Marshalltown head coach Denny Aye. "His best days are definitely ahead of him and he will be a great player for Utah State by the time he is a senior."
