"Derrick played the power forward spot for us last year. He is a strong post player with a legitimate midrange game. Derrick has the ability to initiate contact and get to the foul line. He led the team in free throws attempted," said de la Barrera.
Derrick averaged 9 ppg and 5.3 rebounds last season while shooting 56% from the floor.
Wright has received early interest from Campbell, St. Francis (NY), Murray State and Houston. Western Oklahoma State College have some very talented freshmen this coming season. JucoJunction will see the Pioneers next month at The Mitchell-Mullen Blowout in Dallas, TX on October 12-13,2007.
