Lone Star bound

Players are still finding schools here in the early part of June for this coming fall. JucoJunction found out today that one player from Region 1 will take his skills to the Lone Star State this coming fall. D'Angelo Scott, the No.99 overall player in the 2011 JucoJunction Top 150, is now officially off the board.

The Los Angeles native played the past two seasons for the Matadors of Arizona Western College in Yuma, A.Z.
Scott will suit up next season at Texas Southern University according to interim head coach Charles Harral. Harral recently took over the reins from Kelly Green when he decided to move onto Southeastern Oklahoma State University. The Matadors have played in seven regional finals in the last eight years.
Scott averaged 14 points and 7.1 rebounds per game this season while shooting 57 percent from the floor. Scott made 3rd team All-American honors this year for the 23-9 Matadors.
