Long road taken

Mike Taylor signed with Rutgers University coming out of Boys & Girls High School in Brooklyn, N.Y. Taylor never qualified academically to attend Rutgers University.

Taylor landed at Midland College (TX) and was later involved in a bench-clearing brawl in February 2012.
Taylor's next stop came at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas. Taylor played in four games for the Blue Dragons before leaving the team in late November 2012. Taylor averaged 3.5 points in those games.
Taylor played his first game at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, N.Y., in early January. Taylor has currently played in 11 games this season while averaging 20.3 points per game for the NCAA Division 3 school.
Taylor played this past summer at the Mullen's Top 100 JUCO Camp in St Louis, Mo.
