Lowe commits with four to play

LaMarcus Lowe played a few minutes this season at Vincennes University (IN) against Lake Land Community College before coming out. Lowe verbaled to Western Michigan University on Wednesday according to Vincennes University assistant coach Brian Davis.
Lowe, (FR) 6-foot-10 (215) from Flint, MI is an academic qualifier and had signed with Morgan State University out of high school last season. Lowe is currently attending classes at Mott Community College in Flint, MI as a student.

"LaMarcus is recovering from a spleen injury and he has therapy 2-3 times a week and it is best suited for him to stay back in Flint. We are helping him get a medical redshirt so that he can play four years at Western Michigan," said Davis.
Lowe recently received a release from Morgan State so that makes him a recruitable athlete at the four year level. Nebraska, UNLV, UMASS and Kentucky had shown interest in Lowe before deciding on Western Michigan.
JucoJunction saw Lowe play briefly back in the fall at the Vincennes jamboree.
"LaMarcus is a legit 6'10 and he can run the floor like a deer," said staff member Bret Swanson.
