MACJC to Big Apple

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College assistant coach Patrick Wilcher has informed JucoJunction this evening that Ice Asortse has given an early pledge to Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y. for next fall.

Asortse is ranked No. 90 in the 2012 JucoJunction Top 150. The post player from Nigeria, Africa is currently averaging 10.8 points and nine rebounds this season.
Asortse now joins fellow teammate at MGCCC Jeffrey Simmons in finding a four year school for next fall. Simmons will attend Morehead State University in the Ohio Valley Conference.
