Making head way

Highland Community College in Freeport, IL are currently 21-6 on the season under Head Coach Nathan Courtney. The Cougars have a chance to get to the NJCAA National Tourney this season since Region 4 and Region 16 will bring two teams to the Sports Arena.
The Cougars are led by a trio of sophomores. Deon Andrews, Marvin Jones and Demarco Henry are leading the way for the Cougars.

Andrews, a third year player from Clinton, MD started his college career at Labette Community College in Kansas. Andrews is averaging 15 ppg this season while connecting on 49% (148-299) from the floor.
Jacksonville, Chicago State, and Central Connecticut State are keeping tabs on Andrews this
spring according to Courtney.
Jones started his college career at Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, IL.Jones is a very agile and wiry post player. Jones visited Southern Illinois back in the fall semester.
Jones is averaging 9.1 ppg, 7.8 rebounds and 2.1 blocks this season while shooting 58% (89-153) from the floor.
Valpo and Loyola-Chicago are following Jones this spring according to Courtney.
Henry, a power forward, might need to go the NCAA Division 2 route after this season according
to Courtney. Henry, a Houston, TX native, played a few seasons back at Navarro College.
"Demarco moves around very well on the floor and his very lite on his feet" said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
