Many looking at Bronx prospects

Dashaun Williams, 6-foot-3 from Monroe Community College - Bronx is already headed to the University of Houston next season. The Chicago native averaged 17.9 ppg this past season. Dashaun scored 930 career points at Monroe over two seasons and dished out 271 assists. Assistant Coach Steve Hobbs had a chance to touch base with JucoJunction on some of the other sophomores that looking for colleges next season.
Rich Jackson: (SO) 6-foot-1 (215) from Bronx, NY. The former St Raymond's guard just recently visited St. Francis (PA).

"Rich is currently the all-time leader in assists at Monroe. He's a really strong and skilled guard. Rich can score the ball a lot of different ways and shot 82% from the foul line," said Hobbs.
Jackson averaged 15.7 ppg, 6.4 assists and 2.8 steals this past season. Rich scored 809 points in 61 career games at Monroe. He dished out 335 assists over that time.
"Rich isn't a pure point guard; he's just a good guard," said Hobbs.
Jonas Ghebremeskel: (SO) 5-foot-11 (165) from Sweden. Jonas adjusted to the point guard position this past season.
"Jonas is an undersized combo guard," said Hobbs.
Jonas averaged 8.5 ppg this past season and scored 396 points in his two-year career at Monroe. Ghebremeskel shot 40.4% (66-163) from three-point range this past season and made 99 three pointers in two years. Jonas shot 93% from the foul line this season. He is wide open in the recruiting process and carries a 3.3 GPA in the classroom.
Trevor Franklin: (SO) 6-foot-5 (190) from New Haven, CT. Trevor is a long and lanky wing player. Franklin is a older kid who graduated back from high school in 2001. The lefty can shoot the 15 foot jumper and loves to get out on the fast break in transition. Trevor is set to graduate on time this spring. Franklin scored 610 career points while playing in 65 games at Monroe.
