The Mustangs are coached by Trace Bevell. They won four games in four days to complete the task at hand and defeated Sheridan College 78-64 for the Region 9 Championship.
Freshman Trevin Harris led the way with 22 points for the Mustangs. Harris is an academic qualifier and can leave the program with three years to play next season. Tallon Robertson added 17 points, Jordan Hayter 16 points and Rodrigo de Souza pitched in 10 points.
The Mustangs will prepare to play Shelton State Community College from Alabama in the first round at the NJCAA National Tourney.
The Sheridan College Generals finish the season at 24-10 this season. Freshman post player Lamont Prosser led the way with 19 points. Prosser hails from Fort Wayne, I.N.
