Mays Attracting Division 1 Interest

Keddric Mays, the 5-foot-10 combo guard from Cloud County Community College is one of several players receiving early interest from Division 1 basketball programs. The Livingston, Texas native is hoping to attract more interest throughout his sophomore year at Cloud County.
“Keddric played extremely well during the Mullins tournament,” Cloud County Community College Head Coach Kevin Muff said. “He is very athletic and has the ability to play either guard position. Keddric plays the point guard for us, but he can certainly play both positions.

“Keddric has great lateral speed, passes the ball well and has great overall skills,” he added. “He was a third team all conference player for us as a freshman, but I definitely think that he will be even better for us this year.”
Coach Muff indicated that a number of schools are still in the evaluation process when it comes to their recruitment of Mays, but others have expressed a genuine interest in the Texas native.
“Wyoming, Sam Houston St. and Pacific are the three schools showing the most interest in Keddric,” Coach Muff said. “I believe that more schools will become interested in him after they see him play again this year.”
